Charcoal on paper
Hot and cold is a charcoal drawing of a snow globe that, in the exhibit Finding Light, is animated with a video, allowing viewers to experience the falling snow interspersed with the gentle flickering of embers and flames all contained in the globe. This drawing is a metaphor for the off-season fires that we have been experiencing due to extra dry conditions brought on by global warming.
