The Art of Seeing: History & Practice
The Art of Seeing: History & Practice
Join artist Anna Kaye for an inspiring online class where you’ll dive deeper into your creative journey! Through engaging conversation and drawing exercises, we’ll explore visuals and concepts found in iconic artworks throughout history. You’ll receive a technique demonstration and have the opportunity to show and share at the end. Once you purchase the class, you’ll receive an email with a Zoom link a few days before that month’s session.
On Tuesday, March 10th, from 12:30-2:15PM, we will explore dreams and art. Dreams offer a window into the mind's hidden feelings, fears, memories, and desires. Surrealists like Dalí and Magritte used dream imagery, automatism, and metamorphosis to challenge reality and tap into the collective unconscious. We will explore these powerful, emotionally charged symbols and narratives through conversation and artmaking.
Upcoming 2026 class schedule (12:30-2:15PM, $20 per class): May 12 (Art’s Healing Power), July 14 (A Visual History of Companionship), September 8 (The Sublime in Art) , & November 10 (Growth & Renewal)
